TJ, people like you are why the interney sucks now. The album’s good, the two that followe it are better, but rather than try and figure out why Fall Out Boy are great, or why you continue to blast it, you just throw it in that over-stuffed ‘guilty pleasure’ box and keep on walkin’. It’s not that difficult to figure out why FOB are great (Pete’s penetrating analysis of modern life and himself in his mostly very funny lyrics; some of the best production of the decade; an engagement with hip hop and R&B in subtle yet profound ways; the best straight-up rock singer around). But rather than think you just write painfully banal lines like “I have a feeling Fall Out Boy will be joining Lady Gaga and Twilight on that list of Things From The 2000s Whose Popularity No One Can Explain or Justify”
Just step up your game.

His great album was John Lennon/Yoko Ono Band. Miles above Walls & Bridges. Really. Imagine ranks second. Double Fantasy is the kind of pap that McCartney writes. If he hadn’t been assassinated it would be considered a flop.

Steel & Glass, Scared, Beef Jerky? The man was stoned out of his mind and just writing the first thing that came into his head. #9 Dream is interesting, but there a thousands of better oldies to cover than Ya Ya.

People like you are why Idolator sucks now. You clearly didn’t read what I said. I said this was their weakest album. I like the two albums after this one far more than this, and I think they get a bad rep because of how fame came to the band.
