So the Album A Day series has had a pretty good run so far, but I’m curious as to what input you, my loyal readers, might have. So starting today I’ll be taking requests for what albums you think I should listen to and write about. This post (which will be converted into a page on the top navbar) will act as a place where you can comment on what you’re requests are. As always, you’re welcome to shoot me an email or twitter me your requests as well.
Some guidelines to consider:
- You can request any album, band, or theme (such as that week of self-titled albums I did awhile back) that you’d like me to cover. Broad suggestions like genres or decades are less helpful, but will still be considered.
- The only exception is that the Album A Day series will not cover albums that came out in 2009; those get their own special review.
- Just because you request something doesn’t mean I’ll immediately dive on it. Sometimes I’ll need time to get the album you’re talking about, and other times I’ll have something bigger in store (example: there will be full weeks devoted to Green Day and Bruce Springsteen in the near future, so sit tight if those are your requests). So patience is appreciated
- Be prepared for me to not like everything. I’ll certainly give your request a try, but I’m not going to write a positive response if I didn’t like it just to be nice (not to be mean, but I’d be a terrible blogger if I did so).
- If you have any other thoughts or comments on the project so far, leave them here as well.
That about covers it, so have at it!

OK–just because I want to see what you’ll think:
Gold–ABBA
Frank Sinatra–Duets
The King & I–all-star cast with Julie Andrews and Ben Kingsley (I chose this because unlike most cast albums it includes a lot of dialogue so you can follow the story).
I think you’d really dig a band called We The Living. Pop Rock along the lines of Augustana, Coldplay, The Fray etc. Check out the album
Heights of the Heavens. It’s up on their myspace I believe.
The Smiths – The Queen is Dead
Hi TJ. Found your blog via your Axium TSTF review. Great project.
Reading over your progress, I’d say not to miss Master of Puppets if you’re doing Metallica or Mellon Collie if doing Smashing Pumpkins.
Check out MWK’s Luna Despierta EP.

Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape
Black Sabbath Paranoid

Already did this one on April 24th.
Thank you. I will check it out.
Dude, let me know if you’re interested in a recap from me about Pearl Jam’s Tuesday night performance.
