Album A Day: Hole – Live Through This

I’m falling behind on these again…I’ll make it up to you tonight…

Ever find something in your music library and have no idea how or why it’s there? Yeah. That’s how it is with Hole and Live Through This. I hate Courtney Love; I feel as though she brings no positive light into this world, and she is contributing to the diminished legacy of Nirvana (her husband was Kurt Cobain, for those not keeping score). So the fact that I have not just a few tracks by Hole, but an entire album, boggles my mind a bit. If my friend Nicole were here, she’d no doubt be sending some snarky comments about Buzz Ballads fodder my way. But such is life, and all in all I’ve heard far worse albums than Live Through This. But the fact remains that I have no idea how the album came to exist in my collection, nor why it remains there.

  1. whats your fucking point? maybe cause its a good album which actually has just as much value as nevermind or in utero. explain how courtney fucked his legacy and not the media which glorified him to a disgusting level, diminishing the sincerity of Nirvana’s music. Hole has been dismissed as an important band because people like you latch onto this yoko-syndrome idea. No one ever considers what it must have been like for Courtney, she was talented and about to go somewhere- would live through this have been considered more of a “classic” if Kurt didnt die?
