I totally forgot two things when I posted the last bit, but here they are now.
1. Thanks to everyone who linked to my write-up of Axium’s album earlier this week. The response on that has been both huge and positive. Glad to see such great feedback. Welcome to all newcomers to the site who’ve found me today!
2. I wanted to post this in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the moon landing today, since I was unable to find a suitable Album A Day for it, but here it is anyway.

Lastly, The Beastie Boys announced earlier today that their upcoming tour and release of “Hot Sauce Committee, Part I” have both been postponed indefinitely after Adam “MCA” Yauch was found to have a cancerous tumor in one of his salivary glands. The tumor is not life-threatening, but requires immediate surgery. Yauch revealed his condition in the video below.
Best wishes to Yauch for a speedy recovery.

David Bowie’s 1999 VH1’s Storytellers was just released on DVD, but you can see this footage of him performing “Always Crashing in the Same Car” for free only at http://www.billboard.com/#/news/unaired-footage-of-david-bowie-on-vh1-storytellers-1003995561.story. Never even knew this existed, pretty amazing footage!
