Just a few short months after releasing 400 GB of concert footage and allowing fans to do as they please with it, Nine Inch Nails are releasing their newest album, Bricks, today through the band;s official website. The trick is the songs are being released as individual GarageBand stems which fans must piece together into songs. With each stem only loosely identified with regard to which song it belongs to, fans are free to mix and match stems as they please, in effect creating their own unique NIN album. Looks like Trent Reznor is taking this internet release thing to a whole new level.

Wow that’s pretty inventive, indeed… although I applaud his efforts on making his music more interactive, I’d love to know what HIS vision of the album is, though. That’s why I latch on to artists: because of THEIR vision of THEIR music, not my vision of their music.
But definitely something I’m gonna check out. Thanks!
The Zeppelin post wasn’t enough?! ARGH!
