Earlier this week word got out that the members of Blink 182 would be appearing at the Grammys tonight to present an award. Kinda cool, but not a huge deal. But apparently something bigger may be afoot.
A series of twitter posts between myself and fellow blogger Sheena Beaston brought up a site calling itself “The Blink 182 Reunion 2009″, which at the moment is just counting down to midnight tonight, but this site looks too legit to be fan-made. On top of that, MTV.com (a far less reputable site than Sheena Beaston in my eyes, but still) quotes part of a fan Q&A with Angels and Airwaves guitarist David Kennedy in which Kennedy says “I’m trying to write a statement about how Angels is all good while Blink is coming back”, and that Blink would be putting out an album in 2009. Since then all parties involved have gone dark, refusing comment.
This is still fairly speculative, and tomorrow morning we could wake up and find that the Grammy presentation was the long and short of it. But there’s more than enough here to get fans excited. I haven’t plunked down any concert money yet this year, and if Blink does announce a comeback, I’m setting aside my next paycheck for the day tickets go on sale.
Back later, and will certainly update if I get more (Thanks again to Sheena Beaston for the heads-up)

Site looks good man! Been a while since I ventured to the Viva land…. Anyways I suspected a reunion from these guys and was pleased to see them confirm it in front of a live audience.
